Ruth Steinert Memorial SPCA is proud to announce that we are adopting our community to provide a brighter future with our P.A.S.T. Program.
Maddy is new to our shelter. She has been with us for a little over a week. She was a stray. She is a very sweet girl. She has been through alot during her stay with us. Maddy had a very LARGE bladder stone removed only days after coming to stay with us. The veterinarians at Mountain Shadow in Schuylkill Haven, were amazed by the size of it. Maddy is not a young girl, we estimate around 9 years, but is still so full of life. Even more so after her surgery. We are sure she is much more comfortable now. She is currently staying with our volunteer Vicki, as she recovers from her surgery.
Maddy will be ready for adoption in a few weeks. We are waiting to get the analysis back of the stone. Maddy will most likely require a special diet to prevent reformation of the stone. Maddy also has what seems to be a cogentital defect of her rear leg. She does not have a properly formed foot, but this does not slow her down in the least. If you would be interested in adopting Maddy please contact us at the shelter. If you would like to help financially with her sirgery and after care, please donate through the paypal button below, or mail checks to RSM SPCA 18 Wertz Drive Pine Grove, PA 17963. Please put Maddy's name in the memo section of the check. Thank you as always for your well wishes and continued support. Maddy thanks you too!
